Becker Big Lake Ice Association

The Becker Big Lake Ice Association (BBLIA) is an organization that was established in 1998 to serve as a financing agent for the individual ice accounts. When BBLYHA applied for and received a charitable gambling license, the Association was immediately subject to a 10% tax on all raffle proceeds paid to the State of Minnesota. Also, BBLYHA could, but with great difficulty, receive gifts from other nonprofit organizations. In order to have a nonprofit organization able to raise funds free of state tax and also receive gifts from other nonprofit organizations, BBLYHA established a second organization, BBLIA.

BBLIA has six (6) elected positions:

• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Executive Officer (2)
