Club's Choice Fundraiser-Sales Extended!!!

PIZZA & DESSERT SALE
 
This winter, the BBLYHA has chosen to use Club’s Choice for its fundraising needs. The money generated from the sale of these items will be used to reduce the cost of your ice time and fees. An average of about $5.00 per item sold will go back into your individual accounts. The more you sell the more you will save on your next ice bill. No minimum in sales as long as your registration fundraiser obligation has been meet.

Hockey Spirit Days - February & March Dates

Show your hockey colors!

 

BBLYHA Friday Hockey Spirit Days:
 
Twice a month this year, we are asking skaters to show off their hockey colors at school.  We would like the youth skaters to wear their BBLYHA jersey or apparel to school on designated Friday’s. 
 
 
 
Upcoming dates are:
February 10th
February 24th
March 2nd

BBLYHA Board Elections - Nominations Open

GENERAL INFORMATION
On March 18th 2012, the Becker Big Lake Youth Hockey Association will hold elections for three (3) voting board positions. Each position will be elected for a three (3) year term. Per the bylaws of the Association, an open nomination period will begin January 16, 2012and close February 5, 2012. The ballot will be finalized at the February 12, 2012 BBLYHA Board meeting and posted on the website for review after approval. The election will be held March 18th at a 7:00 and location to be announced.

NOMINATIONS
Any BBLYHA Member interested in running for these open positions must submit their name to the chair of the election committee, Mark Fredericks, via email or mailed letter to the association PO Box.

BOARD POSITIONS
The three candidates who receive the highest vote totals from the general election will become voting board members at the first meeting held after the elections and shall serve a three year term. Per the bylaws, specific roles and duties are decided internally by the board in a effort to utilize the talent of each individual member.
The outgoing board members with current board role are as follows:
 

  • Mike Reasoner, President
  • Theresa Slominski, Treasurer
  • Heather Kossila, Secretary

All candidates will have the option to post a statement on this page. The statement published will be a linked pdf document that will not be edited for grammar or content by the person posting the information. Candidate statements will be posted in alphabetical order by last name.
You may wish to include family information, current involvement in youth hockey, other volunteer experience, professional experience/skills that will be helpful as a board member, ideas or goals during your term of service and any other information you deem relevant.
