BECKER BIG LAKE ICE ASSOCIATION

Mission

Our mission is to build, manage, and maintain a local indoor ice arena that promotes the development of youth organizations, as well as promotes area economic and social development.

Our organization is working closely with the cities of Becker and Big Lake as well as other organizations to develop finance and construction plans for a community ice arena. Five acres of land has been acquired in the Big Lake Marketplace. The proposed 30,000 square foot ice arena design includes a single sheet of ice with seating capacity of approximately 500 people and will accommodate future expansion of a second sheet of ice. The multi-purpose facility will support a broad range of youth activities and public events.

Arena Updates

Currently the Ice Board is looking at all options to build an arena in the Big Lake Marketplace. The Ice Board is currently comprised of our newly elected board members:

President - Patt Briggs

Vice President - Jake Pishney

Treasurer - Tony Loftus

Secretary - Alison Baker

Executive Officer - Dave Slominski

Executive Officer - Chris Boe

Other Association members include: Gregg Sellner, Theresa Slominski, Steve Peterson, Barb Peterson, Jeff Piehl, Wendy Green, Brice Green, Lisa Dembinski, Fred Dembinski and Nancy Cichy. A lot of potential possibilities are on the horizon. We would like to invite anyone interested in being a part of the Association to contact us or come to the next meeting.
