2007 / 2008 Hockey Registration

Registration dates are now set for the 2007/2008 hockey season.

Skaters in all levels, Mini Mites through Bantams, need to complete ALL of the following registration forms:

*Forms will be available at registration, you may pre-print and fill out the required forms prior to attending registration. 

• Copy of Government issued Birth Certificate (first time skaters to BBL)
• Completed Registration form
• Completed Liability Waiver form
• Completed Consent to Treat form
• Completed Player/Parent Code of Conduct form
• Health insurance information

Levels of Play

Level of play is determined by the participants date of birth according to the USA Hockey and the Minnesota Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) guidelines. Within these groups, BBLYHA has defined level of play as:

Mini Mites Players in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade Birth Range 7/1/00 thru 6/30/04 Focus on skill development Instructional scrimmages Year end Jamboree tournament	Sr. Mites Players in 2nd and 3rd grade Birth Range 7/1/98 thru 6/30/00 League play (without any win/loss records) Year end Jamboree tournament
Squirts Players in 4th and 5th grade Birth Range 7/1/96 thru 6/30/98 Competitive level: A, B1, B2, and C Two (2) tournaments and District 10 year-end tournament	PeeWees Players in 6th and 7th grade Birth Range 7/1/94 thru 6/30/96 Competitive level: A, B1, B2, and C Checking begins Two (2) tournaments

Eligibility

BBLYHA offers programs for boys and girls living within the boundaries of the Becker and Big Lake School Districts.

BBLYHA will accept player applications from school districts that do not have an organized hockey program.

Level of play is determined by the participants date of birth according to the USA Hockey and the Minnesota Hockey Association (MaHA) guidelines.

Requirements

Registration is open to any youth residing in the Becker or Big Lake School District. Levels include Mini Mites, Sr. Mites, Squirts, PeeWees and Bantams. The BBLYHA season typically runs from early fall until the end of February. Invitational tournaments are held throughout the hockey year and into March. For additional information, please contact our association Registration Coordinator listed in the registration document.

Typical registration fees (subject to change year over year):

*Registration fee includes the following: USA Hockey Registration $25, Minnesota Hockey Registration (Insurance) $7, BBLYHA Membership Fee $10. The remainder goes into the general operating fund for our association. Season fees will be billed to you in three equal amounts on October 1st, November 1st, and December 1st. Fees are due by the 15^th of each of those months.

What Equipment Do We Need?
Game jerseys are provided for all teams. They are turned in at the end of the year except for the Mini Mites who get to keep their jerseys. All players must have the following:

• hockey skates
• stick
• shoulder pads
• breezers
• practice socks
• skin pads
• elbow pads
• neck protector
• HECC approved helmet with face shield
• practice jersey
• hockey gloves
• protective cup
• internal mouth guard
